Verizon, You Killed my DATA…. Prepare to Die!

 In Tech Fun

Verizon is up to their usual shady practices once again. In the midst of their $4.8 Billion dollar Yahoo! acquisition this news flew under the radar. Basically, if you were lucky enough to have kept your unlimited data plan Verizon now reserves the right to simply terminate your service if it doesn’t suit them. They do offer a 100GB plan as an alternative for a cool $450 a month now though. Thanks Verizon! This probably won’t impact average data users but the idea that Verizon can just decide to terminate users rather than honor their contractual obligations is scary. Last year, the FCC fined AT&T $100 million for misleading customers about its “unlimited” data plans. Verizon & AT&T spend more money lobbying against net neutrality each year than any other carrier. They can afford to dump 5 $billion on Yahoo! but they can’t afford to honor their obligations.
I made this Princess Bride photo below and submitted it to Reddit & Imgur last night. I woke up this morning to find it had received an overwhelming 150,000+ views, and 650+ comments. Clearly, I’m not the only person who’s fed up with ISPs making up rules as they go.

Here’s the Link to my Imgur Post so you can read the backlash.
